FAQ#1Which activities are covered in the challenge?

Response:  Ride, Run, Hike, Walk, Swim and all other time-based activities are covered in the challenge

FAQ#2Is there a minimum distance to be covered / activity time required to qualify an activity for points ("Eligible Activities")?

Response:  Yes, there is a minimum distance requirement for the ride, run, hike, walk & swim activities as below:

  • Ride:  12 KMs
  • Hike / Run / Walk : 3 KMs
  • Swim: 300 Metres
For time-based activities, the minimum activity time is 30 mins to be counted as an activity

FAQ#3: Are there additional points for elevation?

Response:  Yes. There are additional points for Elevation, provided the activity type is Ride or Hike.

FAQ#4 How are points calculated?

Response:  There are three types of points:
  • Mileage Points:  Based on the activities carried out
  • Elevation Points:  Based on the elevation achieved
  • Bonus Points: Based on the completion of various bonus rounds.
Total points = Mileage Points + Elevation Points + Bonus Points

Points are calculated as follows:
  • Ride:  10 Points per KMs
  • Hike / Run / Walk (Avg Pace > 9:00 Min / KM : 25 Points per KM
  • Hike / Run / Walk (Avg Pace < = 9:00 Min / KM : 40 Points per KM
  • Swim:  40 Points per 100 Metres
  • Time- based Activities: 10 Points per 10 minutes of activities
  • Elevation Point: 10 Point per 10 metres of Elevation
FAQ#5: What are the finisher levels? 

Response:  There are 3 finisher levels:
  • Invincibles:  Minimum 28 Active Days and Minimum 15,000 Points
  • Challenger:  Minimum 25 Active Days and Minimum 10,000 Points
  •  Enthusiast: Minimum 20 Active Days and Minimum 5,000 Points

FAQ#6:  Will there be a dashboard to track my points?

Response:  Yes.  There will be a daily dashboard that shall be circulated on the Whatsapp Group.  The dashboard shall give the total points for all the participants as of the previous day.  

FAQ#7: Whether I can do multiple activities during the day?  Whether the same will be counted for points?

Response:  Yes.  All activities carried out during the day shall be counted for points, provided each such activity qualifies the criteria of minimum distance and time.

FAQ#8What are the bonus points for?

FAQ#9 How will my activities get tracked?

Response:  All participants need to join the COB Active 2023 club on Strava.  The link for the same is: https://www.strava.com/clubs/cobactive2023

FAQ#10:  What will all the finishers get?

Response:  All the finishers shall get an e-certificate for successfully completing the challenge.  There shall be medals and prizes for participants completing all 4 challenges of 2023. 

FAQ#11:  Is there any time limit to complete any activity?

Response: There is no time limit to complete any activity.  However, the elapsed time in Strava should not be more than the moving time by 150%.
